I’ve recently found a good bonsai forum for discussing subjects on which is called Bonsai Trees Community
I have mostly been doing some lurking around the boards reading the posts and everyone seems quite friendly and helpful on there.
Bonsai Art is styled as a blog, but it's actually a megasite containing all the info you need for styling bonsai trees.

Wild Trees for Inspiration
Inspiration can come from many places but I feel the best place for it is from natural trees in the wilds. Trees can become very twisted on their own without human interference. Many people who make bonsai want them to look natural and the best places to see exactly what they should look like are full sized trees. Read on for photos.
Mossy Pot or Not?
Does a tree look better with moss around the base or not? I think moss around the base of your bonsai can increase the interest and age in a tree and make it something extra special. I think moss is cool.
Fabulous Collection
This is a lovely collection that i’e found on the internet with some amazing trees. I would love to own any one of the trees on this webpage! Again it is from an Australian site. There seems to be a lot of nice bonsai in Australia. I think they have the benefit of being close to Eastern Asia. So it’s not that close to them but it’s a whole lot closer than I am to Japan! It’s on the other side of the world for me.
