It’s truly a grand tree, possibly the finest in the collection at the National Arboretum in Washington D.C. As a volunteerthere I am priviledged to be able to work on this tree in its seasonal needs. As we are working on it, visitors to the museum are amazed at the age, and the fact thaat it survivedthe atom bomb blast in Hiroshima. Let it truly be a tree for peace.
