Tree Placement

Where do I put my bonsai tree? This is a difficult and important question as incorrect placement can result in moisture loss and leaves falling off! Or in another spot it might be way too damp. As a simple general rule your broadleaf trees should be kept in semi-shaded areas and your needle trees in full sun.

To get the perfect spot for your tree you should consult a care sheet for it. A good book I own for this is the Bonsai Survival Manual which contains this information and lots more. Since I bought it, it’s taught me a lot about specific trees that I own and not just trees in general.
